Watching IPTV on Multiple Screens at Once

Watching on more than one screen at once is a connections question, not a separate feature to buy.

Two people wanting to watch different things at the same time is one of the most common real-world questions about an IPTV subscription, and the answer comes down entirely to how many connections your plan includes.

What a connection actually limits

A connection is one device streaming at the same moment, not one device installed. You can put the app on every television, phone and laptop in the house, and every one of them will accept your login. What your plan limits is how many of them can be actively playing something at once.

A one-connection plan means exactly one stream at a time, on whichever device you open it on. A two-connection plan means two streams simultaneously, regardless of which two devices they are.

What happens if you go over the limit

The newest login attempt is usually refused, or an existing stream is kicked off to make room for the new one, depending on how the player app handles it. Either way it reads as a login failure, which makes it easy to mistake for a credentials problem rather than what it actually is — see the login troubleshooting page if this happens and you are not sure which it is.

Working out how many connections you actually need

Think about how many screens could genuinely be active at the same time, not how many devices exist in the house. A household of four where everyone watches together on one television needs one connection. The same household with two teenagers regularly watching something different in their own rooms needs at least three.

It is worth erring slightly generous rather than exact — a connection limit you hit occasionally is more annoying in practice than paying for one you rarely use.

Does the device type matter for this?

No. A connection is a connection whether it is a smart TV, a Firestick, a phone or a laptop — the device you use doesn't change the connection count, only how many screens are playing at the same time does.

Changing your plan later

If you consistently hit the limit, message us with your current plan and we will adjust the connection count and prorate the difference against your remaining time, rather than making you wait for a renewal to change it.
